Transition into fall fashion
Sad to leave summer behind? Don’t be! This is a time when you can make fashion statements that stand out from the crowd, and the best part is that you don’t have to leave summer behind at all! In fact, we are going to show you ways to blend the two seasons so that you don’t have to wave goodbye to your sundresses, tank tops and flip flops!
I bet you have started feeling that chill in the air, and a part of you is yearning for those cozy sweaters, but here in Colorado, you know that wearing a sweater all day is not reasonable, especially in the early part of fall when the weather can shift from 80 degrees to 50 degrees!
The way to work both the summer and fall seasons into your daily wardrobe is to keep your sundresses as the base for your outfit, while using a light sweater as an accessory! That way you get the best of both worlds, and you don’t have to sacrifice style, comfort or your cute summer wear!
The style posted here is a perfect example of how we’ve taken an element of each season and made them work for this transition into fall. I love this bright sweater, and since it’s a short sleeve sweater, it offers that easy-to-wear style for this time of year. You won’t be too hot or too cold, and you still get to bust out some of your favorite fall pieces.
The dress underneath is definitely a summer style. It’s lightweight skirt and spaghetti strap top (under the sweater) is definitive of a summer picnic or day of strolling around the city. However, when paired with this great sweater, you can see that it changes the feel from summer to almost-ready-for-fall!
If you want to go a step further, add your favorite pair of ankle booties for a real transition to fall look!
